What to bring for FTO preparation
This list is for the FTO preparation sheet. It is not the later live report on a molecule that is already listed. Open the FTO preparation sheet.
You do not have to type everything. Use Browse at the bottom of the big box for notes and for formulas you cannot type.
Required
- Your name
- Email
- What you call the molecule or product (code name or working title is enough; the official FDA name often does not exist yet). This phrase is not used to search listing files.
- At least one of: what you plan to make or sell, notes in the big box, or a file from Browse
Useful if you have it
- Company
- Phone
- Countries you care about
- Patents or applications you already filed (numbers and dates)
- What you have already made public, with dates
- Files you cannot type: formulas, drawings, .mol, .sdf, PDF, Word, pictures
- A listed name, UNII, or application number only if you already have one and you mean that listed thing
Do not search with a nickname
Your phrase does not open the databases. We search listing files only with a listed key: UNII, application number, patent number, or an exact listed brand or generic you marked as a listed key. A miss is not retrieved. It does not mean none exist.
How to use Browse
- Click Browse at the bottom of the big box on Start Your Order.
- Text (.txt, .csv) is copied into the box.
- Formulas (.mol, .sdf) are copied into the box and kept as files. You do not have to retype them.
- PDF, Word and pictures are kept as files.
- More than one file is allowed.
Internal order number
After you save, you get an internal number: date, time to the second (UTC), a four-digit random, then what you call the molecule. Example: 2026.09.19.19.54.32.4827.jujubes. That phrase on the end is a label only. It is not used to search listing files.
How we treat what you send
Your words and files guide the search. They are not proof in the report. If we cannot confirm a fact in a named database, it stays unconfirmed. Payment is not part of this step.
